Life is full of surprises, challenges, and unpredictabilities. When life becomes difficult, it can be helpful to have someone to talk to. Whether for emotional support, problem solving what life has thrown at you, or challenging unrealistic thoughts, psychotherapy might be helpful to create a functional, enjoyable life.

I believe in helping people not just feel better, but get better. As a cognitive-behavioral psychologist, I work to challenge thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have been challenging my clients. My therapy is also informed by client-centered and acceptance and commitment therapies to create a well-rounded treatment that focuses on a number of different aspects of one’s life. Most importantly, therapy is about you. That means that we work together to find the best pace for you. Through respect, humor, and collaboration, I work with my clients to live healthier, happier lives.

I practice evidence-based therapy that has been supported in a number of research studies. Depending on your concern, therapy might include interventions such as:

 – Assertiveness
 – Problem Solving
 – Exposure
 – Mindfulness
 – Cognitive Restructuring (challenging and correcting dysfunctional thoughts)
 – Forgiveness
 – Progressive Muscle Relaxation
 – Diaphragmatic Breathing
